Longer than I will admit to publicly

Late 1985. When I was three, obviously

Favourite Piece?
Brass band: Harmony Music, Journey into Freedom, A Downland Suite, The Essence of Time. Other: Generally Indie music

Biggest playing influence?
If my Dad was happy with the way I’d played then it was usually a good sign. I admire Alan Morrison’s and Iwan Williams’ playing

Favourite musical moment?
Gaining qualification to the National finals after 20 years of trying felt pretty good

Worst musical moment?
Playing a stand-up solo with my fly wide open

Likes?
Food, beer (usually Stella), good people having a good laugh, playing well

Dislikes?
Ignorance or rudeness, getting up in the morning, being late for anything, playing badly
