A super day for The Wigston Band Organisation at Wood Farm Entertainment Contest! Not only did we enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful beers, but also added to our silverware collection! Well done to Enterprise Band for a great 3rd place amongst a field of very experienced competitors. Also, the senior band earned us a double with a fine 3rd place. Now on to the summer concert season


The draw has been announced for the Wood Farm Brewery Contest on May 16th. Times for our Enterprise Band and Senior Bands are below.

The event is an Entertainment Contest and will be a good day out – see attached poster for more details.

The senior Band would like to welcome Dave Giblin who has taken up the 2nd man position.

Abi Harding has made the switch from cornet to horn, Alex who is a member of the NYBBGB has moved from bass trombone to 1st trombone.

We say goodbye to Garry Perrin who has begun a music course at Huddersfield University but will still be playing with the band when he is back in Leicester.

We also say goodbye to Luke Atkinson who has now joined Staffordshire Band following him joining Birmingham Conservatoire.
