The senior Band would like to welcome Dave Giblin who has taken up the 2nd man position.
Abi Harding has made the switch from cornet to horn, Alex who is a member of the NYBBGB has moved from bass trombone to 1st trombone.
We say goodbye to Garry Perrin who has begun a music course at Huddersfield University but will still be playing with the band when he is back in Leicester.
We also say goodbye to Luke Atkinson who has now joined Staffordshire Band following him joining Birmingham Conservatoire.

We are delighted that we have also been booked for a 70th Birthday celebration and a Wedding Reception later this year too – these were from readers of our new website – if you are interested in us playing for your event please do get in touch here.
The annual star prize winner was drawn at our Christmas concert, winning £400. This years winner was Paul Edwards with the winning number 060.

Our Christmas concert at St Thomas’ Church in Wigston will be on the 18th December 2014; details are shown in the attached poster.

This years summer concert will be held at Abington Acedemy, Wigston on Saturday 6th September 2014 at 3.30pm. Directions to the acedemy can be found here.
A big thank you to all those who collected the Community Cash Vouchers in The Mercury – The Band came 20th out of 150 organisations.
We received a cheque for £447.74 – making all that cutting out well worth while.
